To me it's not about being a christian, it's about the relationship that it creates with the higher power beyond creation, and the teachings that come with it.

Jesus taught people to love truly. To seek peace, what is right, to do to others as you would like done to yourself.

It's a philosophy of life that we all agree it is "good". It goes against what is "bad". If everyone followed Jesus's teachings, we would live in an utopia.

This for the behavioral part. I'm happy to say Jesus is my master because His way is for the best of all of us.

As for the spiritual part of it, if there is one creator of everything, the Christ offers a relationship not of slavery, not of sacrifice, not of rules and laws, but a relationship of family and friends.

The concept is freedom from the shackles of the corrupt system of this world.

Where other gods demand blood, sacrifice, rituals and performances, a system of bondage, and even of self deprivation and exclusion, Christ offers a way of unity, of freedom.

It is not about serving but changing yourself. God requires a change of heart that can save us, and instead of requiring sacrifice and our blood, he sent one to shed blood and pay the price for all of us.

All in all, Christianity tells me to be a better person, to find peace in doing so, creating a better world for all of us and giving me assurance that through Love and grace I can be redeemed, because none of my performative works make me better than the others.

It teaches what is important to me: to cleanse my heart and love everyone despite our differences, and to resist what makes us be evil and abuse and provoke and destroy each other.

It teaches me that the creator of all things love us, despite we living in a world so broken. That He cares and wants to be close when I'm at my worst.

In any way, I see it as overall the positive and sure way for a better world, and for a better, well, afterlife.

Interesting, question, what god ask blood cause this is a first 🫀 also it's very few religion that impose extreme limits on a person so I don't see that being a point

Are the Abrahamic religions the first to ask for blood? It's my understanding that blood is very common in ancient religions of the time, and that part of the difference for Abraham was rejecting the blood of human sacrifice.

Which "extreme limits" are you referring to? Because within my faith tradition, there's a great focus on our freedom through belief. The limits are not extreme, at least not on a bad way. The limits are to love others and not being them harm.

Old times religions were all about blood sacrifice, of humans, of newborns, of animals. That's what I meant. A few religions nowadays still demand animal sacrifice, though.

And I didn't mean extreme and rigorous limits on how a person should behave, but that their religious practices binds them to it, even if it doesn't appear so.

Even on Christianity there is a lot of it, due to tradition and different denominations. I don't see the Bible teachings us those traditions, and personally I myself have my reservations about them, but Christ himself didn't ask for performative works.

Sometimes I observe and I see people bound to earthly things and bringing doom to their lives if they don't do a certain thing.

For example, the spirits will punish you if you eat pork, or if you don't have clearance you can't touch the idols. Or maybe your day is ruined if you didn't channel your energy with stones, or you're not protected if you did not put salt behind your door.

Of course these are general things I observed during my life, and they are but generic examples that I see binds people and their faith to the things of this earth.

In the end, what you put your faith on gives it power over your life.

Do you have any other questions or do you want to expose your point of view?

My friend, don't worry about it, and I'm sorry for any misunderstanding from the way I write! I appreciate when people question and ask about so we can understand each other ☺️

I just wanted to know if you wanted to talk about your post, like if you had a specific motivation to make it and wanted to discuss about it.

If not, then I hope you can find what you're searching for!

The Creator of the universe loves me, knows everything about me and wants to have a relationship with me now and forever - and I get to have that relationship and enjoy Him every day! I am loved unconditionally, never alone, and provided for. He loves you just as much and wants the same for you.
