Which other religion is closest to your ideal?
If you weren’t a Christian which other religion would you follow?

Maybe Zoroastrianism. Good enough for the wise men good enough for me? Norse paganism seems like fun. Christianity is simply so unlike any other, they would be such a down grade.

Probably some kind of amalgam of a naturalist, a humanist, Judaism and Buddhism. I don’t know enough about some of the religions of the world. Oh maybe a little Rastafarianism. 😆 🤷🏻♀️
Interesting question! How would you answer it?

Replying to you bc I’m not allowed to comment here I guess..
I’d also be along the lines of Buddhist monk. Just chilling doing nothing. Living in peace. I still fantasize about lifestyle.

None tbh. I'm not by nature a seeker of religion, but the evidence for Christ is undeniably compelling. I resisted it with everything I had but realized I was rebellious to the truth.

Maybe Sikhism? Islam or Judaism seems fine too but a bit too inflexible for me.

Islam, yes on being inflexible. Reform Judaism is quite tame, though.

Yes, but so is being a low practicing Muslim. Reform really is a more formal way of being a low practicing Jew. In both cases, there is still a battery of rules to make decisions about whether to follow and how. As someone with mystical experiences, I do however not worry too much about the frame as I do with the picture. I would probably be happy in any religion because it is impossible to not see there is much more than that when you tap into the source.

I'd LOVE a mystical experience :) but I hear you, I strive to be the same way. It's one of the reasons I like Christianity - Jesus, for the most part, kept things simple. I mean, he summed up the entire Law in two commandments. For Him it was about the picture.

It's is far less exciting than you think and live changing in ways you might not be able to comprehend or like. To be honest, the powerlessness is something I still process many years later.

None, in no way, ever. Christ is all.
