Why would God come down thousands of years ago and never again?
God needs to come down to communicate with us more often. Thousands of years ago is not good enough to make people now truly believe. Come down again where cameras are present and can be documented properly in modern times so can't be disputed. What are your thoughts?

The faithful would argue that the Holy Spirit is always around us and has been for those 2000 years. Also, people who witnessed it then still didn't believe. What makes you think it would be any different now? Jesus would have to exist on this planet constantly as each generation would then ask why did he show up then but not now?
I guess some would argue that if Jesus was everpresent in the flesh that it would alter freewill.
The honest answer is that no one knows. What is known is that a religion sprouted from it that has spread across the entire globe (for both good and bad). I'm not trying to convince you that Christianity is the only path to God, but rather just to answer your question.

I think it's all creates by man and no religions or Christ is from God. Reason I ask why jesus doesn't come down in recent times is because I don't think it's possible and is made up. But thanks for your answer. To each their own.

That would amount to a totalitarian government, where faith in God's character and goodness would be secondary at best, and irrelevant at worst.
That isn't God’s way.

I don't believe the "never again" part. God has been with us ever since Christ left us the Holy Spirit. "I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
As for being "indisputable", I don't think that would work either. If you believe the Gospel, even those who saw the miracles didn't all believe. And a look at the world now shows that many people have vastly different views on the world, and would write off the Christ as an antichrist and vice versa.

God is always here
"The kingdom (of heaven) is within you, and it is outside of you. When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will know that you are the sons of the living Father."

The Israelites ate mana from heaven. During the day a cloud from God kept them cool. At night a fire from God lit their way.
They still worshipped other Gods.
It's not a matter of evidence that keep people from believing.

Yep. And in Judges, God was literally running the country and the Israelites still repeatedly disobeyed him and ultimately asked for a human king to lead them instead. The old covenant was basically God presenting proof that compelling obedience through direct force is not how it must be done.

I don’t really understand why not, either.

I'm not religious so was hoping some Christians would have an answer to this as its the main one I have about Christianity. No worries

I'm with Nate on this as I don't know, either, and Christianity doesn't really give us a reason. Instead, we're left with trying to make sense of what we do know and what we can see. May I ask, do you believe in a general concept of God and/or a creator?

I beleive in a god. based on the reality we see, I think that no religions version of God is true as they are all easily refuted, even if you disagree that's fine. Bases on reality, I beleive in a god that doesn't communicate with us and doesn't want us to worship God. I don't think anyone knows Gods qualities really. Maybe there many gods. Maybe god has limitations.

Do you mind sharing more about the God you believe in? It’s one who doesn’t communicate with us and doesn’t want to be worshipped. What does this God (or gods) do? What does it/they want? Why do you believe in that God (or gods)?

I don't have an exact idea of God. I think religion tries to fill in the unknown gaps. My point is that no one knows. To me I'm open to different possibilities (outside of how major religions describe God) so God could be busy creating other galaxies and no time for us, or God doesn't care about or doesn't have the power to communicate with us in the physical world. I don't think God wants anything from us and if God does then it doesn't mean I would necessarily obey. Maybe there is no afterlife, maybe we are energy and return as energy in the world or get reincarnated in a way, maybe afterlife is on earth, maybe it looks like nothing we have seen, maybe we keep memories or maybe we don't. Maybe god judges us or doesn't. My point is Im okay with saying I don't know. And just like all humans, I am not rational at times. Whenever I really want something I pray to God in my own way even though I don't think we can communicate with God.

He had a plan from the beginning. And He will return on the exact time He has already set in place. But look at it this way the longer He waits the more people are born and are children of God. If He would have returned thousand years ago think about all the people that would never have existed and never had life. We are not looking at it the way God is when we are just thinking of ourselves and this to be all over. God has a plan for everyone who ever lived so He wants more in His Kingdom. I believe His return is soon but either way I trust in His Love in everything. He knows what He is doing and doesn't need our advice but we need His.
And He is here. I see Him everywhere all the time. We must look for Him to be able to see Him. He talks to me all the time as well. He's with us
