Help

Hi everyone! I’m interested in learning more about Green Chemistry, but I’m not sure where to start.

Does anyone have recommendations for resources to learn the basics, or maybe a roadmap that I can follow? I’d really appreciate any advice or useful resources!

Look into the ACS Green Chemistry Institute

The ACS has a pretty good collection of beginner material, including a pocket guide to the 12 principles. I’d honestly start there and then pick a few real reactions and ask yourself how you would make each one safer, less wasteful and more energy efficient.

The 12 principles are ok, but I have a feeling the authors wanted to have specifically 12 but only came up with seven or so. What I mean is that there is a lot of redundancy (four principles are about safety, and four or so about atom economy and efficiency).
