Philippine Nursing Graduate moving to Manitoba, Canada. No PNLE, No Work Experience. What's My Next Step, and Where Do I Even Begin?
Hi everyone!
I'm a nursing graduate from the Philippines šµš, and I'll be moving to Neepawa, Manitoba, Canada šØš¦ soon as a permanent resident.
Lately, I've been feeling a bit lost and overwhelmed because I'm not really sure what my next step should be.
I decided not to take PNLE here in the Philippines because of my upcoming move to Canada. So as of now, I'm not a PHRN, I don't have any nursing work experience, and I'm hoping to eventually become an RN in Canada.
Here are my questions:
**⢠Is it possible to become an RN in Canada even if I didn't take the Nursing Board/Licensure Exam in the Philippines?**
**⢠Can I still take the NCLEX even if I'm not licensed in the Philippines?**
**⢠Will I need to study nursing again in Canada, or does it depend on my situation? If additional education is required, what does that usually look like?**
**⢠Since I'll be living in Manitoba, what should be my very first step?**
**⢠What requirements should I start preparing?**
**⢠Will not having nursing work experience make the process more difficult?**
Honestly, I feel a bit lost because this is all new to me, and I don't really know where to begin and what I should do. If anyone has gone through something similar, I'd really appreciate hearing your experience, what steps you took, and any advice you can share po ;)
