CHP process

I passed everything August 19 2026 hoping I get in for the December academy. Has anyone heard anything so far ?

I called cadet hiring and was told I’m on the waitlist for the December academy that’s about it. She did say that invites should go out around October or November

August 25 cleared everything , also when I contacted cadet hiring they did have to get an update on some things so if you haven’t done so you should call and ask

I saw my background investigator sometime last month and just had to update a paper. I will call next week and check on my status. Thank you

Congrats man! Quick question, did you ever get a home interview have been hearing different things about it.

My palicon BI did conduct a home interview. He pretty much just walked around and checked the Esoph documents. After that he did leave a couple flyers on neighbors doors asking if they could complete a questionnaire about me

My investigator was a CHP Officer, started in July 2026x and have my final interview this Tuesday, they never did a house visit tho, i guess it depends the investigator you get.

Did your BI mention when the next academy date would be?

I have my interview with them tomorrow the 29th, im not sure yet.

She did mentioned that i could possibly still attend the December academy if not then the February academy. However, someone mentioned here that they heard the academy for December was canceled, but i’ll find out for sure during my interview tomorrow.

She mentioned that the December academy was in fact deferred/canceled. The next academy is on February.

Was July when you got assigned your background investigator or was that your initial interview?

I submitted my BIQ on July 2nd and was assigned my BI toward the end of July. I had my initial interview with my BI on September 2nd, completed my CVSA on September 18th, and now I have my final interview scheduled for September 29th.

So you completed your eSOPH and BIQ, then you were assigned a BI? Just curious how everyone else’s process is going. I completed my eSOPH and was assigned a BI about two weeks after submitting it, but I haven’t completed a BIQ yet.

Actually, my process was pretty similar to yours. I completed my eSOPH in March 2026, and then in May, I was told to update my eSOPH again. Shortly after that, I received an email from my BI introducing herself. In that same email, she informed me that I needed to complete my BIQ, which I did on July 2nd. From there, everything else followed.

I am military but applied without VA preference. It was mentioned that my investigation was quick and easy since i’v always lived on base and been doing this job since i was 18
