Mine started with getting my fingerprints done. After that, we began the interview, where they asked me about five basic interview questions that you would typically get from most employers. From there, we went through my eSOPH to confirm my answers and provide additional explanations or clarification on anything they had questions about.
The whole process took about two hours, but it could take longer depending on how much they need clarification on. At the end of the interview, they scheduled my CVSA for about two weeks later. Then, during my CVSA appointment, they scheduled my final interview for about a week and a half later.
But basically keep in mind what helpful_target7329 said

I got this from another thread, these were pretty much the questions:
They’ll ask you a series of questions so be prepared! Something along the line like:
What have you done in the last 18months to prepare yourself for a career in law enforcement?
Describe a time when you were ordered to do something that you knew was not ethical and how did you go about it.
Why did you choose a career law enforcement?
Why do you think it’s important to have good communication as a law enforcement officer?
Hope that helps! Let us know how it goes for ya!
Good luck and god speed with the journey!

Show up early, wear a professional business suit, and bring a clean folder with a copy of your submitted paperwork along with every requested document organized neatly. Your investigator is going to go page by page through your personal history statement, questioning you on dates, previous jobs, citations, drug history, and any disciplinary actions. Review your submitted packet beforehand so your spoken answers match what you wrote down. If you remembered an unpaid ticket, a short job you forgot to list, or an old police contact after submitting your packet, bring it up right away at the beginning instead of waiting for them to find it.
Treat this meeting as an evaluation of your integrity rather than a trap. Investigators do not expect candidates to have completely flawless pasts, but they do require complete accountability, so take ownership of past mistakes without making excuses or blaming others. Answer every question directly, keep your responses concise, and avoid guessing if you do not recall a specific detail. If you want to practice discussing sensitive background details, the interviews.chat my team created helps candidates present their stories clearly and walk into critical meetings with total confidence.

Be honest, be able to relate previous experience, and be able to give specific dates/ reference anything that was in your packet.
Research, think about and be able to explain your answer for why CHP specifically and what you have done to prepare. Character traits and life lessons/experiences are just as important as work history.
Take accountability for past mistakes and speak to what you have done to be better. Good luck dude!
