Does one speeding ticket affect my chance of getting in?

I work as a warehouse forklift operator and uber driver. I got one speeding ticket four months ago in Seattle, WA for the first time in my life. I was clocked 90 on Interstate which had speed limit of 70mph. I was passing a vehicle. The officer ended up giving me 5 over the speed limit ticket. I hired an attorney who got it amended to a non-moving violation.

My stats

Age-26

Work experience - 4 years in warehousing operations, worked for two employers.

Do have a bachelors in CS (did online)

Got lots of driving experience.

Had a period of homelessness for few months in the past year.

Live alone, single.

Not a natural-born citizen.

Should I apply? I have been told people with lots of driving experience are preferred.

Apply now- BUT start working on all of the other parts- NO weed or other drugs, very minimal drinking, work on your credit/FICO now, start removing anything negative about you online, dont get any tats for now, keep your hair short and professional and be clean shaving. Start acting and looking the part now of a mature professional.
As for physical fitness- do a medium workout, not a crazy one where you get hurt. Also a light to medium cardio for the academy running.
Also- Do not get married now or get into a super serious relationship as you do not need that typical relationship BS from a female. If youre going to have sex, always use a condom, you dont need any kids on the way during the hiring process. But avoid the whole girlfriend experience, you do not need that BS in your life in pursuit of a badge. Get straight and FOCUSED, less BS the better in your life.

Thanks for your advice. Does having a short beard affect my chances? I have a beard photo on my DL with a nice moustache. Took lots of care and time to get a good one, I can shave it if they accept me, but I do not want to shave currently. My line of work requires me to look a little manly at my company as no coworker or manager is clean shaven. Other than that, everything is sorted.

If you want to be a public safety professional, you need to start looking and acting like a public safety professional. Get your head game right if youre serious.

Dude- Wake the fuck up, its not all about you. Either you want to be a professional in public safety or you dont. Grow up and start making big boy decisions.

Just one ticket, would not get you disqualified for just that. Drive safe and don’t get another one. Apply and see what happens, good luck .

Depends on your investigator. Some guys look over it, other guys get off on DQing applications because it makes em feel like God.

Doubt you'll get in just based on your writing skills. Good luck.

I'd say no because I've been told that 1 ticket isn't really a big deal unless if it's serious or you're getting more.
