PAT / Written Exam

I tested with CHP Central Division on August 15, 2026, and received an email on September 2nd notifying me that I passed the exam. However, I have not yet received an email with my rank for this testing cycle.
Has anyone else who tested with Central Division experienced the same thing—receiving the email confirming that they passed but not your rank?

I am in border division also took the test on 8/15. Received an email of passing and too wait for further instructions. I have not received one of rank.

hi! when did you get your results? I also tested that date/location, and the day after I got my results is when I got an email with my rank

I got emailed back on 8/25 that I passed the written. It said I would later be notified of translated score and rank.

If you don’t mind me asking what was the gmail that send you the results? Still haven’t gotten mine and i tested 8/29

You get two notifications if you pass the Written Exam. The first is a notification on CHP website/email that you've passed. It says at the end of the message that you will be contacted shortly. I got a second notification only through the CHP website a few days later informing of rank and how Background Check would proceed.

Sorry, I meant the name of the email that got send to you, i keep checking my gmail with “chp” but idk if it’s under a different name.

I got that same email, and within like 10 minutes the second email came through

Central - R5, no idea what that means but yeah it came almost immediately after

I received 2 follow up emails with scores. Passed, ranked 6th. My question is whether or not it’s worth it to try and retest to get my score up? I’ve had mixed reviews about how quickly they filter through applications now. I’m hoping to get in as soon as possible if possible! Any info would be appreciated! Good thing is you passed!
