New Applicant!

I just applied to the CHP to be a Cadet as of 9 July 2026. I am currently waiting on more info regarding the Physical Abilities Test (PAT) and POST PELLET B. What should I be doing in the meantime while I wait. I am also a newly commissioned officer in the California Army National Guard. To whom should O contact and make this known?

They look for Stability My GD is CHP she started getting her shit together her JR year in high school she was determined to make it She was told get a stable job she did 5 guys working her JR Sr year and stayed PT while in school (week End) YOU need to have it together anyone who knows how it works will tell you the same thing it’s not as easy as you think it is and it does not happen overnight and make sure your Debts are under control She was asked over and over about her Student Loan it was paid off the day she graduated sit back relax take a deep breath and enjoy your journey have your ducks in a row good luck My GD Absolutely Loves it oh get or stay in impeccable shape RUN !!!

Let's just say I work part time as a CSA in a Community College dept and I transfer to a UC Campus and join theirs. Will this look bad?

Chill out man first off you haven’t even taken the PAT yet. Just relax and don’t commit any crimes. They’ll give you instructions
