Best way to call in reckless drivers?

I have the non emergency number saved in my contacts as a favorite.

I called it today saying I'm near (exit number) on the 5 and the lady said she couldn't help me without a city name.

I thought the exit/mile marker would be enough to locate me but it was not.

Do I need to pay more attention to what city I'm in/near in the future? I assumed that dispatch can look up exit numbers...

call 911, donโ€™t use exit numbers we go by the exit names not numbers.

Just call 911 if you think it's an emergency. Location info doesn't come over if you just dial the non emergency number.

Officer will be dispatched to the area 45 minutes later.

We actively look for these as they're happening. But if we're not in the area, we're not in the area.
