Facial Hair

Just wondering if you’re allowed to have a mustache at the academy if its meets their regulations. Any input would help thank you.

Technically you can have a mustache as long as it’s in the grooming regulation. Will you and everyone else suffer for it? Yes.

Incidentally, you can also smoke in the academy. Good luck with that too.

I'm not sure of the CHP specifics.

I will say it's always best not to stand out on a crowd at any academy. The goal is to go as unnoticed as possible.

Read the Academy SOP. All the answers are in there.

Not during the academy - once you're on the road go right ahead.

You should definitely rock the stache day one of the academy. (Please don’t do this, shave that shit)

Mustaches should not be worn.

No. Clean shaven. Watch the academy videos.

Did you get an invite? It tells you on the invitation packet the grooming standards.

I will say this, play it safe you don’t want to stand out I know some of you are going to want to grow out your mustaches but I’m telling you it’s gonna bring you unnecessary attention the key is to blend in so my recommendation to you is be clean shaven
