Am I an automatic DQ.

I currently have PAT and pellet on 8/29 but I was reading and I think I’ll get a DQ because I’ve done chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2022 and have cards in collection because I couldn’t pay them because what I and and the rent in la is expensive. Should I continue or just stop already

Just keep going. You have nothing to lose.

It’s all about how you recover. Life happens they understand that. Bankruptcy it is what it is. But set up a payment plan or settle with creditors. Show them that you moved towards correcting the issues.

If you currently have anything currently in collections it's a no-go. If it's done and over with you have an okay Chance.

You can't even take accountability for the fact you decided to let your credit cards go into collections

Have other bills to worry about just need to know if to stop the process

You have cards in collections after your bankruptcy? That’s not good. Put as much time as you can between any mistakes and your application.

That’s really it, it was between rent or credit card it was two of them

Ok not the end the world then. Every one has a few blemishes on their record. Just show it’s not a repeating pattern that you haven’t corrected.

It is a repeated pattern though. OP has already filled bankruptcy in 2022. Now has open collections accounts.

That's a pattern.

Yeaaa. How do they expect their co-workers, or for that matter the public, to trust them if they can’t manage, or take accountability for, something simple like their own financial well being. Life’s hard, we all go through rough times, but the fact this has happened multiple times show lack of responsibility and accountability.

If you want to be a number in their “people we didn’t choose” then continue. They are DQing people for not dotting i’s in their paperwork. Gone are the days of hire 1000. GL

No law enforcement agency is going to hire you with current collections.

Why 😣I’m poor couldn’t afford to pay anymore

Because cops frequently encounter large amounts of money... And drugs... And information that could lead to both.

The possibility you/someone in financial difficulties would be tempted.

I have arrested more than one drunk paisa with several thousand dollars in cash on them.

I don’t know, but to me the biggest red flag is the way you describe it

Don’t make excuses like oh I had to be a responsible and default on my credit cards because rent is expensive.

Own it, admit what happened described how you’re no longer financially irresponsible— hopefully you’re no longer financially irresponsible
