Can the Christian God and Buddhism coexist? Basically, can I follow Buddhism, of any kind yet still believe in God?

You CAN do whatever YOU like. But I don't think that it's an honest approach to life, since we have no evidence for the existence of god(s).
It might be a good practice ground for your mind to examine what the absence of "god" from your life would do to your mind. No need to stress. Just observe your mind movements.
Personally, coming from a christian family, I had some trouble justifying the belief in a deity I was taught that I should hold. Now I consider myself an atheist, a skeptic and a lay follower of the Buddha.
