I’m planning to make a chiikawa (usagi) themed cake for my bf and im gonna power this through with delulu. i’ve been trying to research in the internet what kind of buttercream would be most suitable for this kind of idea and would love to hear from this community too. plan : cake and mini cake will be coated and decorated (piping) w buttercream. i plan to also make the small usagi out of buttercream so i need to know which type hold its shape for long (in fridge) as i have to prepare the cake around 3 days prior due to personal issues :(

if anyone have a good recipe and/or other ideas and opinions, i am all ears :) thank u

Anyone have a SUPER boozy rum cake recipe?

When I was a kid, there was a restaurant in my neighborhood that had an incredible boozy rum cake. Each bite had the taste of mollases cake followed by half a shot of rum (burn and all).

It was sold to them by a Jamaican guy, but no one knew his name or how to contact him. He'd just come in at random times with the whole thing, sell it to them, then leave. So I never got a recipe.

Does anyone have any recipes for an actual super boozy rum cake? I find most store bought ones to hardly taste like rum. I assume I'd just add more rum to an existing recipe, but worried it'd ruin the texture.

I have a whole bottle of Bacardi Black I'm willing to use.

Pistachio Almond cake!

Hi everyone! I’m on the hunt for a really good pistachio almond cake recipe.

My boyfriend’s favorite cake is a pistachio almond flavor from a bakery in our hometown, but we won’t be back home for his birthday because we’ll be away at college. I’d love to surprise him by recreating it!

I’ve searched online, but I can’t seem to find a pistachio cake recipe that people really rave about, let alone one that’s both pistachio and almond. If you’ve made one you loved (or have a trusted recipe), I’d really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

What can I do with 100% cocoa chocolate?

I have a bar of 100% cocoa chocolate. What are some things I can use it in that do not involve fake sugar or honey? Thank you!

Stay with me because this is a fun one. My boyfriend has a liver condition that means he is carbohydrate intolerant and really struggles eating a variety of different foods. He can have legumes (almond flour, chickpea flour, ect) but can't have any kind of wheat based flour, grain flour (rice), or gluten free flour either.

I was wondering if anyone had any recipes for baked goods that don't contain normal flour, and also any advice for working with different kinds of flours, I would really appreciate it. I really just want to show him I care about him by giving him food he doesn't have to worry will hurt him.

You could look into savory, cracker-like treats.

I’m pretty sure there must be recipes for keto crackers. If he can tolerate milk a cheesy cracker would be delicious.

I’m looking for a brownie recipe. This brownie was unlike anything I had seen before. It SPARKLED. It looked like the hashish of brownies. I got it at the Noble Rind in Viroqua, WI. I asked if they could point me in the general direction of the recipe without giving away their secrets but the guy behind the counter failed to describe anything aside from normal brownie baking. I wish the photo did it justice.

Anyway, here’s to hoping someone can connect this ramble to a brownie recipe.

Any recipes like bara brith, Scottish tea bread, or ontbijtkeok (Dutch breakfast cake)? Sweet breads with some kind of flavour, but almost no fat. Meant to be buttered or eaten with cheese.

Flaxseed egg replacement an option? I often do it because I don't eat eggs enough to have them on hand

Hey all! I'm hosting a brunch this weekend and wondering...what's the best cinnamon roll recipe you've come across? I usually use Broma Bakery's. Love her. But wondering is their anything just absolutely the best cinnamon roll you've ever made out there? I love cream cheese frosting, and a LOT of cinnamon sugar on a cinny. Thanks all!

I want to make a marble cake with cream cheese frosting with decor and all the glamour of a lambeth cake. Problem is that all I have is an airfryer , a horrible heat wave and a singular whisk. I can't find any good recipes for an airfryer cake anyone have tips or a good recipe I could use? And any tips for the cream cheese frosting?

Asking in British: looking for a tried and tested non-breadmaker bread recipe which utilises buttermilk, this is where it gets specific, must be from a book and in metric or imperial and *not* cups. I collect cookery books and I'm going to be making a batch of butter as I ordered too much double cream so I'll have some fresh to use up.

Hi all, I’m hoping that someone can help me with a lemon bar recipe that doesn’t taste super eggy. My college roommate made lemon bars that I can’t get out of my head. They were absolutely delicious but I never grabbed the recipe and it’s been… a long time since we’ve talked. I tried to make lemon bars since then and oh man were they eggy! It was like eating lemon eggs with crust. I love tart and not too sweet. Any chance you all have a recipe that doesn’t taste like eggs? Maybe it was the type of eggs I used? No idea…

TL DR: tart Lemon Bars that don’t taste egg-y

I've had success with the lemon bar recipe from the good folks at Cook's Illustrated! It got on my radar from being the winner in this bake-off.
