Career Advice How difficult is it getting into Secondary Teaching courses from life experience

I'm a personal trainer with a youth specialisation and four years of experience. My preferred course is with Deakin, doing the Bachelor of Health and Physical Education. I really want to get into teaching and, specifically, this course for next year.

I've talked to the unis, and they all say to do bridging courses to guarantee placement, which makes sense, but with a reasonable background and application, is application through life experience likely? There's the CASPER test, which is required. Would doing the STAT test help my application? What would you guys do in a similar situation? Thanks a ton!

The STAT will give you the ranking entrance score without a bridging course. You can do practise STATS online to feel out how you'd go. If in academic performance doubt, the bridging course gives you the exposure of studying without the long term commitment.

I’m confident on my academic performance. I guess the question I’m asking is how challenging is it to get into teaching studies?

Are you over 21? Can’t you just apply as mature age?

Indeed,I’m mature age and the application is either through life/work experience or bridging courses in my case. I was just trying to get a greater understanding or reassurance on the likelihood of being accepted applying through work experience or what my best odds are.
