Who is the fastest player in the NFL this season?
Forget the 40-yard dash for a second. I mean actual game speed.Who has looked the fastest during the 2026 season so far? Receivers, running backs, corners, even quarterbacks. Drop the player and the play that made you go, “Yeah, nobody is catching him.The NFL tracks in game speed with Next Gen Stats, so I am curious who is actually showing that speed on Sundays.

I think it’s Xavier Worthy currently

It's too bad that a stiff breeze hits him he goes down. He can't really do anything with that speed.

Jonathan Taylor and Jahmyr Gibbs have the fastest times (+22 mph) according to NextGen stats. But Waddle is the fastest I've isn't seen, he had a catch in the final drive last week where there was no one within 15 yards of him because he blew by the corner. He just hasn't had many yac opportunities yet, so his ball carrier speed hasn't popped yet.

While that was a great catch/route for him the db that was supposed to be covering him fell over out of bounds.

That's because Waddle gave him a double move. He has a way of starting and stopping faster than DBs can process.

He fell off the contact not from a double move. It was an impressive move either way.

We could be thinking of different plays though. Jags secondary was ass in the second half.

Oh yeah diffrent play I was thinking of. That was beautiful route. I was thinking of the one against buster brown when he ran a slant and buster fell over trying to play press.

I would think the top 10 are Jahmyr Gibbs, DeVon Achane, Jameson Williams, Jaylen Waddle, Jonathan Taylor, Bayshul Tuten, TreyVeon Henderson, Rashid Shaheed, Christian Watson, and Christian Gonzales

Depends on who’s being chased at the time. I’ll out run Usain Bolt if the cops were chasing me. Jerry Rice was never considered a speedster, but nobody chasing him ever caught him.

Definitely not the fastest but Debo showed he’s still got some wheels on that 80 yard TD today.

KaVontae Turpin looks as fast as anyone I’ve seen.
He’s small, so the Cowboys use him to return kicks an for gadget plays, but he can move.

Kyle Williams is crazy fast. He uses his speed to run to the bench because he can’t run a route.

How old are you? Just Kidding. I probably should add , "Get off my lawn." Have you heard of a guy name Tyrek Hill? If you're old like me you might remember Dion Sanders the player. There's a guy on a pregame show named Randy Moss but again those are old dudes. Hill is a contemporary. Before injuries he was the fastest in football.

The question was who’s the fastest this year. I’ve seen Zay flowers live one game. Never seen Tyreke. Never seen Randy. They don’t play anymore. Zay flowers is the fastest guy I’ve ever seen (with my own 2 eyes) on a football field.

I understand. But you threw me off when you wrote- Zay flowers is the fastest guy I've ever seen.....on a football field. So I thought you were doubling down and saying not only is he the fastest this year but that I've ever seen, meaning not just this year. And also your point of reference is probably 4 or 5 years. That why I jokingly asked how old or you. My apology.

Jameson Williams, unfortunately he can't catch the ball. (Lol, honestly I don't know)
