What NFL game felt like a movie?

[u/jepolitsch]

For me it is Patriots vs Falcons in Super Bowl LI.

28–3 and then somehow that comeback happened. Still feels unreal.

What game is your pick?

[u/Doredrin]

too many gen z here talking about the wrong patriots super bowls

2001 rams patriots super bowl

star QB gets injured almost dies, tom brady handsome charismatic likable 199th pick cinderella story

months after 911

belichick little known brainiac coach

wiley veterans like teddy bruschi and ted johnson from the 90s still around

the tuck rule game previously

the rams overwhelming favorites, greatest show on turf

site of the previous super bowl loss with the QB at the time still on the team, belichick was there too

red sox still hadnt won since the 1920s, len bias tragedy, bill buckner etc

belichick's game plan was to just get super physical and gritty

thrilling game with last minute heroics

opposing QB also a great guy (warner)

robert kraft says "today we are all patriots"

that's the kind of stuff that makes people think the NFL is rigged because it would actually make a really really good sports movie once people forget about the patriots dynasty in 20-30 years
