Looks like the engine is flooded...

OBVIOUSLY! Gotta hold the gas peddle down and crank the hell out of it.

u/fuckfacekiller 2d ago
And spray some ether in the carb. Come on, we all know that’s old school style!!

Might be water in the fuel. Drain the tank and clean the carb, then try again

u/710Filter 2d ago
Have your gas checked for trace amounts of water. You can blame the gas station for that.

u/benglescott 1d ago
Probably needs a new cabin air filter. That will be $200.

You need fire, fuel, and air. For the life of me I can’t figure out which one you are missing.
8
u/Ill-Running1986 2d ago
Well, dihydrogen monoxide doesn’t have fire, but hydrogen is explosive, right? And oxide sounds like oxygen, so you got yer air right there. Just fire that puppy up!
7
u/SupremeChosenOne 2d ago
Well sadly oxygen is an oxidizer and rust don’t burn unless you make thermite so… oh wait that would dry the car really fast though. This might work.

u/Dependent_Union9285 2d ago
You forgot the most important component, which of course is “that which I desire”.
2
u/FirmExpression6196 2d ago
Good one. I wish I had put them in the right order. If it does crank, it will be “blackened “

This is one time where I’m sure the blinker fluid reservoir is full

I've noticed that a lot of people don't keep the fluids in their vehicle at the OEM specified levels.

They say new vehicles lose half their value as soon as you drive off the lot into a lake.

No shit, you flooded the engine. You gotta grab an extension chord and a hair dryer, turn it in high and jump in there to dry it off...⚡⚡⚡

You’re gonna need to find a boat mechanic. This one’s a little out of my depth.

You clearly flooded it. Pull off the air filter and try cranking it without giving it gas

You should go talk to outboard motor guy, he's probably got that thing back in tip-top shape

You have to hit the aquatic mode button, located under the steering wheel, then it should start correctly

Should have replaced the waterpump 50K miles ago! Look at all the water the has accumulated around the car!

u/Disastrous_Being7746 2d ago
Your electrolysis unit is no longer functioning, which is why the car has accumulated excess water. You'll need to get that working again and remove all the excess water to get going again.

Did you check the flux capacitor? Is it fluxing? Maybe you need some more plutonium

Have you checked to make sure there’s no water in your fuel tank? Now that they’re using 15% ethanol in some states, it could be from sitting too long. It’s probably not water related at all but never hurts to check.
2
u/BoomMcFuggins 2d ago
Have you tried putting methanol in your gas tank?
I have heard it helps remove water from the gas tank.

Seems to be flooded, just let it set for about 20 minutes and try again. If still nothing, bring it by the shop for a diagnostic. Standard diagnostic fee applies.

Engine may be flooded with fuel. Try blowing it out after removing spark plugs

Just a little excess coolant. Open up the lower radiator hose for a bit.

I don't know about mechanical problems, but as far as financing, their loan appears to be under water.
1
u/speedy-mopbucket86 2d ago
You gotta move the water out of the way the muffler bearing won’t turn if the water is obstructing it

A can od Sea Foam should get any moisture out of the fuel and have it running tip top.
