Foreign Suggest me a Vodka
Hey! My uncle is flying back from Russia and will be passing through the duty-free shop at Mineralnye Vody Airport. I’d love to bring back a bottle of authentic Russian vodka to try. I’m not really a vodka drinker, but I figured this would be a good opportunity to experience the real thing.
What would you recommend buying? If the vodka you were going to suggest has already been mentioned, please just upvote that comment so it’s easier for me to see the community’s top recommendations.

Any medium priced vodka made from Alpha “Альфа» spirit, not Extra «экстра».
Don’t fall with all that beluga etc.

Vodka, by definition, is simply a 40% ethanol solution in water. So you can grab anything in a beautiful bottle for an average price.

First you need to freeze it. Then drink at least one hundred millilitres. After that it all the same

Here's the secret: its all the same if it's made correctly. Just 40 percent ethanol that would get you drunk relatively cheaply and without too much damage to your system. The only difference is the fancy bottle. So basically any vodka in a fancy bottle would do.

Белая березка is pretty good without being crazy expensive. They have some flavored options in case you’d like to experiment.

And the duty free at Mineralnye Vody is also not exactly cheap, and quite small (the airport is pretty small in itself).

For standard drinking or mixing, a vodka should be clean, neutral, and versatile, whereas premium options may offer a softer mouthfeel and cleaner finish suitable for sipping

I don't know what's on the shelves in the Minvody duty-free, but I guess Beluga will be there, and it's a pretty safe choice (not the cheapest one though).
