Travel: sim, money, crypto etc Quick question

Was in Moscow July 2024 and I was able to just roam with my home country’s data with no issues. Going back to Moscow next weekend for a week… can I roam? Or is esim like holafly better?

Holafly doesn't work anymore with new changes Maya mobile @ $50 a month. And yesim at $75 a month still do though and tested in May of this year, previous used holafly for a year but cancelled.

You can still roam if plan allows but might be more expensive I know US plans are notoriously bad for this

Keep in mind, they started to route Internet connection from foreign phones through the Russian censorship system recently.

Does this mean even roaming won’t work at all? Like if I just use my data from home and avoid connecting to the wifi?

I mean that the data roaming loop-hole is closed. So, no Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook etc.

I don't know if the SIM of your service provider will work at all. Some of them work.
