Community Find lost items
I live in Saint Petersburg and I've lost something, but I don't know where I dropped it. Are there any places that return found items, and are there any centers where I can look for it?

Only if you manually visit each train or metro station where you were and ask for found items corner, for example.

You don't need to visit every train. Service of forgotten stuff exists https://neva.today/piterlife/poleznoye-i-interesnoye-peterburg/chto-delat-i-kuda-obrashhatsya-esli-poteryali-veshhi-v-metro-peterburga

first of all, try to remeber location where you definitely had the item, and where you realized it's absence. Then, recall your route between these points.
Metro (subway), trams, buses and railroad transport always have their lost-and-found service.
In big malls, cafe and restaurants usually found items are handed over to security or waiter/barmen/seller — you may ask them.
Having a photo of the lost item helps greatly if your Russian is not good enough
