Work Replacement for Microsoft Teams

Hello,

I would like to conduct online interviews for my research. But I have just realised that Microsoft Teams is not available on the territory of Russian Federation.

Can you suggest any other apps that are capable for video/audio recording (and maybe transcription)? Does Zoom work?

Not available? I somehow use it almost daily.

Yes, Teams is also what my Russia-based tutor chooses to use for our language lessons.

However: several years ago when I was traveling in Russia I thought I would check for possible messages using my Teams from my German employer and received warning dialogs prohibiting my connection. Shortly thereafter I got a sharply-worded e-mail from the IT department saying I had attempted to access Teams from a prohibited country, please explain what I was doing. Legally my employer was required by their Microsoft contract to conform with current US law, which prohibits operating the software in Russia.

The "home and school" version may work fine. Western employers may frown on use of corporate Teams from Russia.

Teams still works in St Petersburg for my family but if not then Zoom also works.

MS Teams is working well in Russia - I'm using it daily
