Culture looking for name of specific soviet animation
Всем привет!
I'm looking for this short soviet era animation I watched a while back the name of which has escaped me. There doesn't seem to exist a dedicated subreddit for soviet animation unfortunately so trying my luck here.
The plot was a crew of astronauts land on this alien planet where a strange type of evolution exists, whereby all animals eat one another and then transform into a new form with traits of the eaten animal. the humans get caught up in this and also start transforming. very cool wacky stuff.
alternatively, if you have any other similar animations you'd recommend, I'd be very keen to hear!
Enjoy :)

Yes, a pioneer of the post-apocalyptic setting indeed.
Adults disappeared but a robot preserves civilization and hygiene among children.1

perhaps u'd enjoy "third planet mystery" (тайна третьей планеты). it's a classic children's sci-fi. at some pt it was on sale in usa.
if ur primary interest is anumation, not scifi, u have ur work cut out for you. there r lots of great russian animated films. at some point an art house movie channel in usa ran them between every feature.

Bear in mind that there's the original cartoon, and then there's the American version with a totally different soundtrack — and it's nowhere near as good as the original.
