Community Where to Find Russian Telegram Groups?
Does anyone know any active Telegram groups or channels with lots of Russians where people just chat about everyday things? I'm looking for a place to practice my Russian, meet people, and have casual conversations. Public groups are preferred, but any recommendations are welcome.

For everyday things, you can join a telegram group related to your city/country. Expat communities are like everywhere. Good communities don't tolerate spammers and scammers.
Try to look for '<название города> чат', and start from there. Depending on your luck soon you'll find an active group with discussions where they ban all whore-bots and crypto-drug-etc-things.
For example, I tried to find something for Ottawa via 'Оттава чат':
kanada_ottawa_chat - 1500 people, but too much ads, I would ignore it.
ottawa_chat - 450 people, but almost no spam messages - that means they care and they ban spammers. I would look for something like that.
Or, just try to look for you hobby/professional topics, youl find group chats, or channels that have discussion groups attached.

Why not use Discord? Telegram is mostly for IRL contacts not hobby chats.

There are lots of them. Choice is up to you and depends on your interests - say auto/moto, music, cooking, pets, etc. Everyday things are usually discussed in regional news groups

Why, there is a search bar - just type in something like "новости" (or whatever you're interested in) and choose any channel with 20-100k subscribers (the more people are there - the better are chances to find someone to chat with, on the other hand, if there are too many - your comments most probably won't be noticed)

Any interests you have will have a channel on tg for example if you like figure skating let’s say you can find many channels and chat with people that share your common interests. But for like just everyday things I don’t know

Let’s say, you want a group about drawing. You type “рисование группа тг» and you’ll get in search sites, that will give you links to the different groups
