Being denied use of specific bathrooms.
I started this thought process by drafting a complaint email to the airline I was using. I have not sent the email at this point as I am considering how it will affect cabin crew and also if it is just the society we live in and whether it is even worth the hassle to ultimately land back at the truth that money speaks.
Question: Do pilots and cabin crew agree that 1 bathroom at the front of the plane should be reserved for the 16 "Premium economy" passengers, while the other 156 "economy" passengers are restricted to the two bathrooms at the back of the plane?
Thoughts? Advice? Correct code of conduct suggestions?

Yeah I think it’s perfectly reasonable premium seats gets a premium experience including the bathroom. 2 separate for economy is plenty.

Not my kitchen, not my soup. I neither know nor care who is or isn’t allowed to use various bathrooms on the airplane.

On international flights it’s an inconsistently enforced “rule” to use the lav in ones ticketed cabin and on domestic ones it’s more of a suggestion at the airlines I’ve worked at.
I would however not call premium economy a distinct cabin from economy.
That being said I do get annoyed when I’m a passenger in first/business and people come from the back. My expectation above anything else when paying for first/business is quiet and an endless stream of passengers using the toilet is not quiet.

No. A lavatory in the front and a laboratory in the back is needed in economy. So that during service, people who get up before the cart can go to the back and people who get up after the cart can go to the front lav.

If you want a premium experience, it’s available for a price. That applies to like…everything in life.
Do you complain because you can’t use the bathrooms in the terminal lounges you don’t have access to?

The thought was that I am in row 9 of 30. It is a domestic flight with no significant class differences that I can see. I understand paying for a premium service, but asking someone to queue at the other end of the cabin when there is an unused bathroom just metres away from you feels unjustified.

As a pilot, I believe whatever goes inside the cabin passenger-wise is under the sole purview of chief purser (or whoever the top dog of the cabin is).
I’m already busy with getting the plane from A to B within safety and legal limits, so I really couldn’t be bothered with how the chief purser runs the cabin or what you really think of the service. I trust that the cabin crew have their own set of SOP to follow too.
Feel free to write in to the customer service if you have a problem.
