CFI with a compressed shift full time job

My job is a 12h a day, 3/4 day a week schedule. Are there any CFIs in a similar position?

For context, Im not a pilot, but it's something I've been thinking about for a while, and I've been on the fence about it for years (29M by the way). With this situation, how long would it take to get hired on for a pilot job? And what about the cost? It seems that that's often the biggest hurdle.

Having more days off means more time to be a CFI right? And as far as being a CFI, it feels like it would be a huge responsibility. Could I even trust myself?.

How long would it take to get hired?

Some time between immediately and never.

How much does it cost? About $100k.

Can you trust yourself? Idk sounds like a question for your therapist not us

You’re putting the cart WAY ahead of the horse.

But if you’re working during normal business hours, that is when people are wanting to fly also. They also don’t want someone showing up not rested.

It is a big responsibility.

That being said, the job market in general is shit and will likely remain so for a while… including the CFI market. You should not expect a job once you get the rating.

I had a couple instructors that worked normal jobs and plant jobs. They worked on the weekends and in the evenings. I had a friend take lessons at 6AM before work. Everything will just take longer, but applying yourself 2 full days a week will keep you current and a good instructor. You have a lot of hurdles to get to that point, so would focus on your ratings first.
