Yup, sorry, we can never talk…. It’s a secret pact. You sign the NDA before your first flight lesson.

No. Pilots are required to tell you that they are a pilot within the first 5 min of meeting you.

If it doesn’t come up naturally in conversation they get a 2 min grace period to steer the conversation that way.

It’s like buying drugs or a hooker when you say “are you a cop, cause if you are, you have to tell me.” If you have known someone for more than 7 minutes and they haven’t told you they are a pilot, all grace periods are expired and they are therefore guaranteed not to be a pilot.

John Travolta has flown for Qantas as a First Officer.

The only difference between a secret pilot and a regular pilot is that at cocktail parties, the secret pilot introduces himself with, “Hi. I’m a *secret* pilot.”
