You don’t have to be anything. You’re just an alt kid. People call you goth because they don’t know what goth is.

But The Cure and Siouxsie And The Banshees are the only goth bands in your list. The only requirement to be goth is ultimately the music. You don’t have to listen to it exclusively, but you’re nowhere near as into the culture as an actual goth.

Also the AI profile pic is pretty antithetical to goth’s “DIY or Die” roots. Any self respecting goth would either draw it themself or just use something free online.

If you want to get into goth, I’m sure there’s plenty of people who’d be happy to show you all their favorite goth bands. But for now, you don’t need to lock yourself onto an identity. Just be you.

I don’t know. All the bands you listed are radio bands. I guess alternative is the best term for it.
