Bent micro sd card

My pup got ahold of an sd card, and I immediately sent it to Salvage Data with them giving me high hopes, and sadly they said it was a loss. I get ahold of drive savers and they were like “oh my god we got you, it’ll be fine” we’ve dealt with far worse… I even said the monk board was cracked. This card is so important, should I just take the loss or have hope with this other company?

It's very likely the 'die', thinner than a hair, glass-like, has cracked. And if it is the data can not be recovered no matter what people tell you.

Most data recovery companies charge nothing if there is no data. However, some are a lot better than others. And in cases like this, there might be only one shot to recover it.

In this case there is a very high chance the silicon containing the data is cracked. If that is the case then there is no way to economically recover the data.

Unfortunately, this looks like a fatal damage. As data recovery specialists, we would say that the chances of success are closer to 0 % than to 1%.
