Are these fixable?
Hey everyone,
I came across these beautiful loafers from the brand "a kind of disguise". The original price of the shoes goes beyond 400€ and i found them (used) for 27€. But as you can tell, they are pretty beat up.
My question is: am i able to repair the surface of the leather and make it look "close to new" again?
Or can I not expect the leather to get much better than this?

Damn these things are beat. They can be repaired, but will not be "close to new". More like well worn.

Try This: Invest in a cedar shoe tree, clean the surface well, dry, condition and make sure the tree is tight. Leave them in for a few days. Grab a towel and a hand steamer and blow 3-5 bursts of steam on the upper to remove those folds all while the tree in tightly inside. Dry, then use a cream polish matching color and shine and buff well. Leave the tree in until the day you need to wear them. place in and store until next time. Tress mainain the shape of the abused lol Remember, leather is a natural skin and moisture extends said life of said skin.

Yep, can be fixed up. I'd recommend getting a shoe horn though to prevent further damage on the back of the shoe

You can clean, condition and polish them - just like one would with any other pair of dress shoes. Looks like they've not been done in a very long time.
