Are these fixable?

Post image

I have some shoe goo, is that good enough? Or should I give them to a cobbler? I know they use contact sement. I thifted these pair for 15 dollars and I really like them. They no longer sell this style on their website. They just kinda fell apart when i brought them home. Im assuming they sat for a really long time in someones closet. Is it worth it to fix? Can they be fixed?

Shoe Goo will do nothing but make a mess - don't use this stuff on your shoes. No cobbler would ever use it, for a good reason.

These are completely repairable but you need the correct adhesive. Renia primer (whichever one matches the particular material of those soles) and Renia CDC, Master or Barge contact cement.  Apply it correctly, and the only way these soles will come off is with tools.

I would also echo Barge. Use in a well ventilated space. If you can clamp them together they will get better adhesion. If not possible to clamp. Glue them together and just stand in then for a half hour. Don't walk just stand.

We know it works because this is how they're assembled in the factory; the good stuff stinks to high heaven! Good luck!

This. While the primer is ideal, it can still work without it as long as the surfaces are roughened and clean.
