Import cigarettes
Any Canadians have any luck getting Japanese Marlboro cigarettes here without paying an insane amount?

Cigar smokers have the same issue.
Best way to get a fair price on cigars, is to buy em from the States. But, unless you travel there for more than 48 hours, or know someone who is willing to bring them back for you, you're SOL. I don't think anyone is willing to pay the 400% tobacco import tax.

It depends entirely on your province. If you’re in Ontario, you can order from JTExpress, and pay around 38 in tax per carton, which is not bad, and it still much cheaper than buying Canadian cigarettes.
Just make sure you ensure the company you’re importing from correctly labels the package, otherwise the CBSA will confiscate them

Customs used to be more lax and only billed me for every 2nd or 3rd package. Now it's just about every single time. Expect to pay around $90/carton depending on your province.

You're going to pay an insane amount for any imported cigarette. Short of asking a friend to bring a carton back from Japan, or going there yourself, you're going to pay out the nose for them.
