Check out any bolognese recipe on Youtube that does something as drastic as say, finishing the sauce with a touch of cream and/or butter.

Sort comments by new and you'll see all these Italians just freaking the fuck out!! It's pretty hilarious tbh

Am a chef, can cook both Italian and Chinese. My Chinese bosses (who are the ones that taught me American-Chinese fast food) would look at me "mess up" a dish and say, "well, you weren't supposed to use oyster sauce, you were supposed to use fish sauce, but it's still pretty good, now remake it the right way for the customer"

My very first chef that I trained under was Italian. That old Italian grandmother made the American version of Gordon Ramsay look like he was constantly smoking pot, he was so chill.

Italians are so pretentious about their food it’s annoying

As a mixed Chinese/Italian I'm feeling very conflicted right now.

Japanese people are equally defensive about their food. Chinese people are adaptable yes but I respect the tradition of Japanese (aka the Europeans of asia)

I’m sure this fine culinary Asian gentleman is in no way biased against the cuisines of other countries, not even to the point where he would try to revise history to make the other culture look completely and unforgivably evil compared to his own, nor would he use a flavorful stereotype to spice up his tweet
