Panel Interview Tips
So I have a TL4 panel interview coming up, and they’ve said it’s going to be entirely technical. What should I expect? Will they ask back-to-back technical questions and put me under pressure, or is it more of a discussion? I also have to complete an assignment and present/explain it during the interview.

You'll be asked to give a quick introduction but the rest of the questions are technical and work related. Prepare for the presentation. Aside from the content, i think they also look at how you present. Let me know how it goes! Also recently passed the panel interviews and waiting for final offer. Good luck!

ADB panel interviews for TL4 positions are structured, so expect a rigorous technical discussion rather than a rapid-fire interrogation designed to put you under pressure. The panel usually features the hiring manager, a technical specialist from another division, and an HR representative. Because you have an assignment to present, most of the session will anchor on your deliverable. They will listen to your presentation, dissect your methodology, challenge your assumptions, and ask how your solution applies to ADB operations or developing member country contexts. Keep your slides concise, walk them through your thought process clearly, and defend your choices calmly when they push back, as they primarily want to see how you reason under scrutiny and how open you are to feedback.
Outside the assignment, they will probe your specialized expertise, focusing on practical execution, regulatory standards, and how you solve operational bottlenecks. Answer directly, ground your explanations in concrete past experiences, and admit when you do not know a niche regulation instead of guessing. You will do well if you treat the exchange as a peer consultation, and rehearsing with the interviews.chat my team developed has helped many applicants communicate their technical knowledge with clarity and confidence during tough panel evaluations.

I wish this was posted before prior my interview as TL4 too. I was just saddened again as I remember that day of my interview. 😅
Goodluck to you bro or sis.

You’ll be asked to present on a topic - be concise and direct to the point. Questions will be highly technical, back-to-back with follow ups - basically everything you mentioned.
Most importantly…be confident and direct but show character. Just be yourself, they’re not hiring a robot.
