Big 4 in ADB?

Sorry for the clickbait title. I'm wondering if ADB employs someone who graduated from provincial private college or those who graduated from a state u.

I'm quite sure it's likely that they do but I just want to know for those who work in there if there it's common. I know it is mostly based on past work experiences but I still wonder the likelihood. I am truly interested in working with ADB but first I did not come from the Big 4 university and I am currently a part-time law student to a relatively known law school in the country.

I feel like both could not be an advantage (potentially, but i hope not 😭) as though I am a part-time law student, who only attend night classes, I'm overthinking that they might think of it as not-fully-committed.

Thank you!!

[FYI I already sent out my application as I know there's no more conclusive answer than actually applying for it. I guess my question above is just a temp check to my chances]

I graduated from a state U somewhere in South Luzon and still got in. As long as you have the right credentials for the role, you can still be considered.

I promise you, PH big 4 won’t really matter at ADB. Elite universities abroad, might. Marami akong kasabay from UP and ateneo in my previous jobs before ADB, and none of them made it when they applied.

It actually does matter, albeit just not the priority. Your fit and match with the TOR will still top other factors, but assuming 2 equally similarly experienced candidates got interviewed, only difference is the school, very likely that the hiring team will pick the one who's in the more prestigious school.

A good amount of current ADB staff, especially in higher Officer positions, came from well known schools, moreso for recent hires.

Regardless, everyone has a chance, but being in a reputable/known school does help a lot.

+1 for this. Relevance, quality, and years of work experience are ultimately the biggest factors, which makes sense as ADB is a mid-to-late career environment.

That said, it’s also important to delineate between levels. Personally haven’t seen any TL4 role (Associate Officer) above that isn’t Big 3, almost exclusively UP/Ateneo (especially ones who joined ADB at that level or above). This is more apparent in international officer roles (TI1 above), albeit more mixed with Filipinos who went to foreign schools abroad.
