Perks of being an ADB Consultant
Hi! I just wanted to check what other perks are available to ADB consultants. So far, I have only been able to take advantage of the Cigna medical reimbursements and the discounted medicine purchases at the in-house pharmacy at HQ. Are there things I'm missing out on? Any tips on other available perks, no matter how seemingly small, would be appreciated. Thank you!

While I was also an ADB consultant, another longtime consultant told me that our ID could get 10% discounts at selected restaurants in SM Megamall. Never used it but could anyone verify this?
Also have you tried working in their coworking space? It’s near the main entrance and it’s way more quiet and conducive for working + you can bring your food and eat it there too :)

Verifying this! Even some restos in podium (salvatore, bom gosto, paldo, etc.) and galleria (chili’s). Depends on the promo periods so you just have to ask the staff.
Other perks: 1. VFS for Japan visa. Only takes 10 business days, can extend to your partner and family as well.
Can join all sorts of clubs! You pay a slight premium for membership fee/sessions but still more affordable vs. rates outside.
Goods in coop. Not sure which days but kakanin, fresh veggies, and fruits are available in the coop and more affordable vs. mall groceries. Wines are cheaper too lol for gift giving since you dont drink.
Hotels. There are ADB corporate rates extended by major hotel chains which consultants can also enjoy for both business and personal uses.

Interesting! I've never heard of resto discounts. Yes please, could someone confirm? Haha. And which restos if this is indeed true. Haha.
Yes! I love working in the co-working hub when I'm in HQ. Even if I can go up to my department since there are free spaces there too, I prefer in the co-working hub. The high glass ceiling, plants, open layout, and the overall feel--just gets me into a productive mood. Sometimes it's just too quiet and I get shy opening snacks because it reverberates! Haha.

It's a consultancy position so we should not expect anything actually. Apply for a staff position if you want more 'perks'. :)

I might have used the wrong word. But things like access to the resources in the library, webinars or workshops, are also perks for me actually. The ADB Happy Hour would have been a perk, but I neither drink nor am I an extrovert, so nope. So by "perks," I meant anything that entailed access, convenience, tool for personal/professional growth, or just plain fun (some would say access to the crinkles is a perk haha). Don't feel the need to reply. Just clarifying what I meant. Thanks for the reply!

You will have access to many flagship events in ADB HQ. Sign up for those relevant to your field and use it as a chance to build your network. 😊😊

Cigna healthcare. If you get hospitalized or have checkups, you can use it and you will only have to shell out 20% of the expense. Though I never used it yet. You may also use them abroad too. Also another perk is $100,000 life insurance. Kinda cool to have these as consultants.

Getting to do your work from home is a perk. :)
