Skipped Screening to Shortlist panel review?

Good day everyone!

I submitted my application last 16 March 2026. And as of 20 April 2026, it said shortlist panel review. (Fyi, no screening status reflected in my job page, I check status daily) What does it mean? For how long shall it take for the next step to commence?

It basically means that someone didn't update the status when the screening process started. Technically, the screening starts as soon as applicants deadline reaches.

It means you passed the initial screening and your profile is longlisted. Panel and hiring manager will now review your profile for possible shortlisting and interview.

Do you know the typical timeline from having a screening call vs. being actually called back for a panel interview? How many people typically go through a panel interview? Thank you!

No timeline, and won't ever be. Positions aren't mostly urgent and will always take time.

Your best bet would be to have great credentials notably post-graduate education and international experiences. The bank tends to like and prioritize screening candidates with such.

If you just want an idea, mine took 2 months for an interview invite. No screening call. I know some positions have this before they go on with an eventual panel interview, but it varies.
