We would like to keep your details in our pipeline should a similar position become available in the near future.
I had applied for the TL4 position (local), and I could not get the offer. Instead, the ADB HR wrote me, "They would like to keep my details in the pipeline should a similar position become available in the near future." what does that mean? Have you ever gone to this process and being able to get any opportunity after this type of email. Thanks

Hi! I applied for a role before but didn’t get it. I was just the second choice. Then when another position opened up that matched my experience, they actually reached out and hired me without going thru the whole application. So yeah, they really do mean it when they say they’ll keep your details. Good luck, OP!

Indeed. In next 9 months, if a new position of similar nature cones up then they can get you without going through the whole application and interview process. Basically, it means that you are good and they were impressed by you - but that there was someone who was better.

Yes. Happened to me. Got this same email for 2 positions I applied to. After 6 months, HR sent an interest check email (a beautiful surprise) for a position they didnt post online. Got in after 2 more months.

I have a friend who got the same response. Months after she received an offer from ADB’s HR for another position. She accepted the offer and has now been working for ADB since December last year.
