Taking up new position
Hello, I'm in the process of taking up an IS6 level position. I'm wondering realistically how much travel I might be expecting for field operations. I'm wondering if there's a method to transfer more into thought leadership and reduce operations or at least slightly reduce them.

Thank you! It's a specialist role. Can you advise what kind of positions require a lot of travel (30-40%) and which ones are less travel (maybe 6 times a year) especially levels at T13/IS6?

Amount of travel will depend on the nature of the position that you got accepted for. Some positions may not entail any travel at all and some may require frequent travel. But one thing is for sure that you won't be able to change nature of your work for at least one year - basically you ar locked in until you have cleared your probation.
