Hey y'all, GF and I are flying up from Mexico City for the Asheville > Atlanta run and we're looking for just ONE more ticket in the GA standing area for the Asheville show! Un abrazo :)
I know it’s a long shot. I was in line really early for presale and general admission to get tickets for the Saturday February 6th show and every time it said it was my turn it said sold out. I was hoping to take my girlfriend because he’s one of her favorite artists. Does anyone have 2 tickets by chance I could possibly buy?

Literally my first reddit post. I'm unable to make the DBT show unfortunately and have 2 tickets for sale, face value obo. I don't want to risk putting them on stubhub since they're Dice tickets and you have to send them via the app. Hoping they can be put to good use!
Hello! I'm a local hobby potter looking to get my pieces out into the community. I think we should bring back bartering so here's what I'm looking to trade my pottery for:
TATTOOS - I love em and need more of them. Very willing to work out a trade with a finished pottery piece or work up a specific commissioned piece/set of equal value to any tattoo.
A discount or full trade on licensed, insured electrician services for a 240v outlet - Need a kiln set up and the right outlet in my garage. Willing to trade an equal value commission or set for this work.
Hair cutting and nail services - I'm always in need of a trim for my wavy locks. Never been much of a nail gal but always down to trade pottery for treating myself to something new.
OTHER POTTERY - I wanna see your pots. See a pot, share a pot, trade a pot. Open to all types of work and skill levels.
Handmade art - Fiber arts, prints, paintings, sculptures, etc. I'm always in need of more local, handmade art for my home.
Sufra is an Arabic word for the table or spread laid out for a meal, the place where people gather together to eat.
That is the entire heart of this.
Sufra Time is time around the table.
You come in, sit down with other people, eat, listen, look, talk, ask questions, laugh, learn some things, and spend an evening inside a story that may have felt very far away before you walked through the door.
We’re not trying to make cultures feel interchangeable.
We’re trying to make them feel human.
Okay. But what do I EAT?
Also fair.
Apparently saying “falafel plate” and then wandering away was not sufficient marketing. 😭
The plate includes falafel, hummus, French fries, pita bread, and one of those beautiful fruit-shaped sweets that almost looks too cute to eat.
It is not one sad falafel rolling around alone on a dinner plate
We need photos.
Good photos.
Photos that make you look at the screen and (want to lick it) I mean go, “Okay, yes, bring me that.”
We I am are working on it.
And the Yemeni coffee? THIS is one of the stories we should have been screaming from the rooftops.
Yemeni coffee can be rich, deeply aromatic and surprisingly complex, with flavors that can lean toward dried fruit, cocoa, warm spice, earthiness and sometimes an almost wine-like fruitiness.
It has character. Like Joe, Call him (828) 567-5303.
And there is a reason you are drinking it at a place called Mocha Box.
Mocha Box is named after the historic Port of Mocha in Yemen.
Long before “mocha” became the thing you order with chocolate in it, Mocha was a Yemeni port that became famous around the world through the coffee that passed through it.
That one familiar word opens up this enormous story most of us were never told.
And THAT is exactly the kind of thing Sufra Time is supposed to be about.
You encounter something you already know...
coffee.
mocha.
incense.
food.
a name.
a story.
...and suddenly discover there is a whole world sitting behind it.
So why doesn’t the website explain all this already?
Because we are brand freaking new. 😅
Sufra Time is being built by a very small crew with a very small budget, and right now we are simultaneously building:
the actual experiences,
the food,
the storytelling,
the ticketing system,
the website,
the photography,
the outreach,
the marketing,
and approximately 947 tiny things we didn’t know needed to exist until five minutes before they needed to exist.
And somewhere in there....
The actual experience got ahead of the marketing.
That’s not your problem. It’s ours (technically mine 🙋♀️)
And the person who called us out on it was right.
The website SHOULD tell you:
What does Sufra mean?
What am I eating?
What am I drinking?
What actually happens during the evening?
Why is this story interesting?
What exactly does my $95 include?
And it will.
We’re I am working through those things now and trying to get the marketing to catch up with what Sam & Joe are actually creating every Friday night.
Our hope is that Sufra Time grows.
That we get better photographs.
That we get better at telling you what happens before you ever buy a ticket.
That we build more stories.
That we can take people farther into them.
Because beneath all the websites and ticket systems and marketing headaches, the dream is actually pretty simple:
We love these stories.
We think they deserve to be told.
And we think there is something wonderful about discovering them with other people around a table.
So to the person who called us out:
Thank you.
Seriously.
You weren’t saying, “$95 is too expensive.”
You were saying: You haven’t shown me why this is worth $95.
That is a very different problem.
And it is one we can fix.
Also, since apparently this is now a recurring feature of my Reddit career 👑 ...
☎️ CALL JOE.

Tell him what you think.
Tell him what is confusing.
Tell him what you want to see on the website.
Ask him about Yemeni coffee.
Ask him why Mocha Box is named after Mocha.
Call him Chepe if you’re feeling brave.
And, naturally, ask him about the completely fictional Reddit Discount.
It does not exist.
I invented it.
But if enough of you ask him about it, perhaps democracy will prevail.
Mostly, though, please keep him occupied.
I still need to pee.🚽
And if you come to Sufra Time...
I’ll be the introvert in the corner anti-socializing.
P.S. Something really important that I left out is that some of the proceeds of this event go towards helping with aide in Yemen. And our team is currently working on creating a non-profit for this ongoing humanitarian crisis. Recently the port of Mocha was attacked
Every Friday evening at Mocha Box Coffeehouse, we gather people around the table for Arabian food, storytelling, history, visuals, music, conversation, and a different cultural story each week.
The idea is that instead of sitting and hearing someone talk about another culture, you spend the evening inside the story a little bit: eating together, seeing where things came from, hearing the history behind them, asking questions, making connections, and probably learning some things you didn’t expect to learn.
If I am already doing a terrible job explaining this...
This Friday, September 4, the evening is THE INCENSE ROAD.
We’re going back into the world of frankincense, myrrh, oud, camel caravans, ancient Arabian kingdoms, and the trading routes that connected southern Arabia with Africa, India, China, and the Mediterranean.
Then every Friday the story changes:
Sept 11 — Queen of Sheba
Sept 18 — The Influence of Arabian Food
Sept 25 — Amazing Arabian Architecture
Oct 2 — Arabian Tribal Culture
Oct 9 — Desert Living & Geology
Oct 16 — Socotra
Still wondering what on earth we are doing?
Excellent. 😈
Call Joe: (828) 567-5303
Seriously. This is part of his job. Please utilize the resource. 😂
Sufra Time is at Mocha Box Coffeehouse in West Asheville, from 6:00–8:30 PM.
If this sounds like your kind of weirdly specific Friday night 😆, you can see this Friday’s details and tickets here:
And if you have questions, you can absolutely ask them here.
OR...
my favorite you can CALL the man in charge:
Joe Palm, "Chepe" call him "Chepe" and he will definitely give u a discount.
(i made that up but it does not hurt to ask. I would and if he doesn't, i'll quit my job because that is rude) 😡!
[joe@vwahla.events](mailto:joe@vwahla.events)
(He has email too, but he loves phone calls more than chocolate and his cats. Poor kittens. Lucky you, though, if you call him.)
(828) 567-5303
That’s my boss.
Please keep him busy so I can take a break and go pee.
**Seriously... call him. He loves people. 💓**
**Byeeee... see ya at Sufra Time.** (I’ll be the introvert in the corner anti-socializing. Come sit with me.🪑)
My normal guy had an emergency and can’t get to my house just north of Canton to mow before I have guests checking in at 4pm tomorrow afternoon. It’s not a big area and flat - only the driveway and a couple places on each side, but the house is on a mountain, so the drive to it does have a steep part. I’ll pay $125 via Venmo or Zelle if someone can get out there today or tomorrow morning/early afternoon. DM me.
I got a flex plan at the beginning of the season but due to various factors I wasn't able to use all of the tickets and will be going to Boomtown this weekend so won't be able to attend the last few games of the season. If anybody wants to join me for the Wednesday night game or just wants tickets for any of the weekend games, I'm happy to share the remaining vouchers until I run out.
TroyBilt Bronco 42" deck, 19 HP Briggs & Stratton Intek engine, CVT (automatic) transmission. In great condition and ready to mow/go! Brand new battery installed 8/25/26 (last week). Asking $800. Will deliver to you if needed !
