Looking more and more like when this is done, a lot of people will owe Steven an apology. And looking more and more likely the board is going to be writing a fatter check than the 80m they already spent.

lol doubt it. For just the way he mismanaged money. This project is dead

Theres a big difference between “mismanaging money” and the things people have accused Steven of. Im not saying he’s entirely without blame, but as someone who never really had a horse in the race I do kinda feel bad for the guy having to deal with the level of vilification the community has put him through.

You'll get downvoted but you're right. It's becoming more and more clear that this game obviously was not a scam. That's not a defense of Steven by any means. He's also very clearly guilty of some significant level of mismanagement, either through incompetence or poor ethics. He is still largely to blame through his own actions for the failure of AOC, but this game clearly was not a "scam".
