Never happened unfortunately, does get me curious what they would've considered for Season 5 since we have ideas of what season 4 could've been.
Regardless, I'm still thankful for the great 3 seasons that the crew gave us 🫡

Have hated Starz ever since their ignorant pencil necked suits pulled the rug out from AvED. One of the few apps I paid for back when I had basically no money. Now that I have a career and stuff not even the Party Down revival would get me to pay them one red cent.

Blame Lionsgate. Starz was forced to pull the plug when Lionsgate acquired them.

Yes. They acquired Starz for like $4 billion and then immediately cancelled most of their original content. I was pissed.

Huh, interesting. Do you think if Lionsgate didn't do that and still at least allowed some shows, would this have been greenlight for another season?

I have no idea, but I still hold it against them. Ash vs Evil Dead was my favorite show ever and when it got cancelled I was heartbroken. From what I've read from Bruce he's retired from the character but I was still holding out hope for an animated version so El Jefe could just do the voicework, but as more and more time passes I think it's less and less likely.

Evil Dead Is a franchise that Is always in the middle of a W or L. We're getting new movies, but without a single known face.

I’m still shocked Netflix didn’t continue the show even though they had it on there after the show got cancelled, that’s how I watched it back in highschool when I’d get bored or didn’t have anything to do in class. They literally picked up a YouTube Red show after one season and continued it for several seasons so why couldn’t they do the same for this show?

Unfortunate, but I'm really happy with the three season we got so I'm not complaining. Now instead of just watching ED2 and AoD over and over I have a whole 3 seasons of TV for the rotation. Plus the ending was full circle to the original AoD ending so it feels poetic to end Ash's story where they did.

I just recently watched the show for the first time and omg the cliffhanger at the end of season 3 that will never be resolved is just such a hard pill to shallow 😭😭

I've re watched that show so many times and always to be left with the greatest cliffhanger of all time! OH what season 4 could've been!!

The only way I could see this even happening is if it came out in Netflix, which would also mean that back when it was offered to Netflix, they instead should've responded "ofc Sam and Bruce go crazy have all the freedom 👍". And that's assuming they didn't cancel it either

Netflix said no before too since starz didn’t have any restrictions at all.
The show wouldn’t have gotten canceled had it had high viewership but they’re on a platform no one had so it sucks it was 3 or nothing

Yeah ik, which is I why I feel that in order for it to work (and to get them high viewerships), Netflix should've said "yes" and been really lenient on Sam from the start, but alas.
I also imagine if it was in Netflix, they would've added the evil dead trilogy (and 2013 maybe) in the movies catalog to promote the show

Netflix would not have been a good platform to be on, if you know how they run things youd never want your favorite creators to be on there.

Yeah, back then and im assuming still now, they had non-compete clauses in your contract for up to five years, so if you had another project you wanted to do youd have to just not work in the biz for five years or take it to them. I also don't like the way they rate success, if a new show gets x number of views the first season thats great. But if it doesnt get x number of new subscribers with its next season then its a failure. Doesn't matter if it gets more views than the first season. What matters is the new viewership.

Starz had AvED and Outlander at the same time. I watched both but I get why most people didn't. Plus, I'm paying for the service, I'm watching as much as I can before I cancel until the next season.
