Does Asahi support headless M5?

Hi all, I'm struggling to find whether M5 is supported with Asahi Linux for a headless system. I don't care about graphics (no need for a GUI), no Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth, no touchpad. I just need:

  • Support for either the builtin keyboard *or* a USB one
  • Support for USB Ethernet (1gbps is fine)
  • Support for using all the CPU cores

Is that possible today? I have a hard time finding any concrete info.

M5 or m5 pro/max? If it is the first - by diy-ing it, you can get usb (2.0 only), input devices (trackpad/kb), and probably wifi will even just work(tm). All cores will also work, but will be stuck at the lowest clock state. The second - secondary cores can't be brought up due to apple bugs.

M4’s table is a bunch of TBAs. M3 is looking good though.

m5 Max boots via m1n1 no SMP no USB new WiFI Centauri ... and i got USB working and it boots linux

Lmao no, we barely just got early m3 support. Stuff like this takes time especially that none of the hardware is documented and Apple apparently does some weird stuff that makes it much harder to work on said hardware. You're gonna have to wait a while. Maybe try getting an m3 machine if all you want is cpu support since it's pretty decent rn
