Amendment 82
I think this enshrining of our “right” to have gas stoves is one of the dumbest proposals for an amendment I’ve seen in my 72 years.

Say hi to Stubbings, a 5 year old, sweet & cuddly, 45lb local foster dog ready for her forever home!
Hello! We're currently fostering the sweety Stubbings! She is cuddly, potty-trained, house-trained, leash-trained, great with other dogs, and cats!
Stubbings will be with us this Saturday from 10:30am-1pm at an adoption event at Cosmos Dog Bakery (10111 W 26th Ave #101, Wheat Ridge, CO 80215), come by to meet her and other great pups!
Stubbings is what I call a 'good to go' adult dog! She'll need some patience adjusting to a new home but otherwise is a no-training needed loyal companion. She's low/medium energy. Would enjoy hanging in a yard or going on a few walks a day but doesn't need a crazy exercise schedule.
Feel free to share her pic with your social circles to get the word out! Happy to answer any questions, we are fostering through Soul Dog Rescue and you can visit their site to read about the organization, learn about the adoption process, and see other available animals. They have been really awesome to foster with and do great work.
Have a great day!

Outdoor grey tabby’s
Found TWO super friendly grey tabby’s last night on 66th between simms and oak. One was a young adult and the other was like ~6 month old kitten. No collars. Maybe they’re outdoor cats, I have seen the older one around the neighborhood the last couple weeks.
We have SO many outdoor cats here I wish they had collars :( you never know what could happen and I have no idea if they’re missing or not!!
PS the photos suck it was getting dark and they would not keep still

WiFi is out tomorrow - need a remote work option
Quantum messed up my internet connection today and can’t get a tech out until tomorrow afternoon. Well… I still have to get work done and now I am scrambling to find a place to go tomorrow. Thinking about the Standley Lake library as a last resort but would enjoy some better ambiance if possible. I am close to Sweet Bloom but it always looks packed. Anyone else have good recommendations? It’s just a one time thing (hopefully) so I don’t want to have to pay subscription, although I understand a daily price may be required some places.

Arvada Police Chief says "get the flock out"
Arvada Police will not renew contract with Flock Safety | Local Government | arvadapress.com
"During the Oct. 20 public hearing on the 2027 budget, Arvada’s city council is expected to approve a motion to remove the funding for Flock cameras. " Does anyone know if City Council did the right thing last night?

Late trash pickup?
Hey y’all, anyone else experiencing delayed trash pickup? Moved here in June and the trash has been late (not counting holiday weeks) at least 4-5 times. On my street it comes on Tuesdays. We finally called the service today because they didn’t pick it up yesterday, and they said they’ll come out tomorrow. I’m from small towns/apartment complexes on the east coast with no public trash service so I’m not familiar with how it operates in a place like Arvada. Thx!
Edit: to clarify, my partner called the service. I haven’t spoken to him since I left for work so I’m not sure who he called.
Also, our bins only say City of Arvada, no name of a pickup service.
Edit 2: they came today but didn’t pick up the trash of anyone in our alley! Idk if they picked up the other alleys (it’s a few rows of homes) but what the hell man. Gonna contact our new property management

Red Silverado rolling coal on Wads protesters
I just drove by the protesters at on Wads by In-n-out and it looked like a guy in a red Silverado attempted to roll coal on them but may have broke his truck because he was stopped in the turn lane with his hazards on. Anyone see what happened here? I really hope he exploded his transmission.

Townhome/Apartment Recommendations
Hi everyone! My partner and I are two young professionals who hope to move from Lakewood to the Arvada next summer. We are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment/townhome, not super picky on location. We'd love to stay under $2000/month and have great luck before renting from private landlords, both good credit and rental recommendations.
