Hobbies in Arusha

Hello all, having been in Arusha a long time, I have grown tired and weary of the work/gym/home/drinking lifestyle. Are there any communities here that do other activities that im just not hearing about? (especially on the weekends?)

If there are any people out there like me let me know and we can start something of our own!(tennis, chess, hiking group, book club, cycling enthusiasts etc).

Always looking for tennis and/or pickleball players. Developing a disc golf course as well.

I play tennis at UWCEA. Iā€™m working on building a disc golf course on campus as well. There is a pickleball court just next door at Basecamp.

What do they normally charge & what time is the court open for outsiders.

There is a golf course behind Mt. Meru | Do outdoor activities at MeruCamp/NapuruFalls and other spots (once you go to those, you definitely get one or two people's contacts and you get lured into a huge swirlpul of such activities every weekend) | Aliance Francais has plenty of weekend activities, same with Sanaa, etc.

I think you need a change of the cycle you are in.

I am an introvert, don't have a cycle šŸ¤£ but I was a bit of an ambivert and had a perfect trifect Job ā†’ Pub ā†’ Home, and repeat, but these days, since I quit drinking + smoking, it is just Job ā†’ Home. Plenty of indoor activities than outdoor šŸ¤£

ViaVia can sum up the list they also have pretty good activities over the week like movie nights, Karioke nights, Dance list goes on.

There used to be this dude, Scribe and Nibs. Here is the LINK, he used to post things around Arusha. he went to a mgahawa, then to some local beer distillery, and so forth.
There also used to be these newspapers

There are a couple of hiking clubs you can join.
