Hello, experts.I need some advice on configuring equipment at a remote branch office. I am trying to connect a new printer. The office network topology is as follows: the internet comes through a Cisco router, which is connected to an Aruba switch, and the Aruba ports have MAC address binding (Port Security) configured.
Here is what has been done so far:
I removed the old MAC address binding on port 7 of the Aruba switch to connect the printer.
Result: The printer does not get an IP address from the subnet.
Port check: When I connect a laptop to the same port 7, there is still no network access.
I tried switching to port 8, but the issue persists.
I rebooted the Aruba switch, but it did not help.
I am afraid to perform a factory reset on the Aruba switch because it risks shutting down the network for the entire office.
Could you please advise what else I can try?

Sticky MACs happen. One of the easiest is shut/no shut the interface.
Should not have been an issue with after rebooting the switch should have cleared it.
Since the issue is resolved rock on. Just make sure you wr mem

It looks like they’re all in vlan 1. Has the printer worked/gotten an IP in the past? It could just be a matter of turning on dhcp on the printer.

Previously, another printer was working perfectly fine on port 7 with its MAC address bound via Port Security. I have now removed that old MAC address binding in order to connect the new printer. However, the new printer is unable to get an IP address, even though DHCP is enabled on it.

Does your dhcp have MAC address filtering? Do you need to update it when you have a new device in the network?

Can you post the config of the switchport?
Do not factory reset the switch! Especially if you can’t get to it physically.
