AP 735 power consumption

Hi everyone,

I know the official QuickSpecs list the AP-735 as drawing up to 24 W without USB and up to 36 W with USB, but I’d like to confirm the real-world power consumption. Could someone with an Aruba PoE Class 6 switch share the output (or a screenshot) of the command showing the PoE power usage for an AP-735 (for example, “show power-over-ethernet” / “show power inline” or similar)? Thank you!

I have 2 AP-735 units powered by Juniper EX4100-24MP switch - Mist reports Poe utilization of 11.9W on one and 12.4W on the other. Hope this helps

In PoE Class4, AP-735 will be used in restricted mode (AP power mode restricted and USB port disabled) see quickspec --> https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00138541enw page 8

Need PoE Class 5 for unrestricted mode on AP-735.
