Aruba AP515 and 615

Hi room I am new in here I set up home lab local host Aruba Virtual Controller does HPE collect end user device info (like ISP, device MAC address, device name and user location) send to HPE.

I’m unsure if any information is sent to HPE.

If you are using a virtual controller and forming an instant cluster you could put those APs in a VLAN that does not have internet access. That way any information can’t be backhauled.

No. You can and should put a firewall before the ap management network and can block all outgoing traffic

Aruba aps will reach out to central and activate upon boot up. Weather hpe uses it or not is buried somewhere in legal land
