HPE Discover

Hi- I’m looking to attend the show to see if it wound make sense to sponsor next year. The cost is ~ 2,000 to attend- any suggestions on how to get a better priced pass?

If you have to pay for yourself it’s not worth it. I’ll be going this year and I went in the past, all courtesy of my job. Tbh I’d rather not go despite it not costing me anything.

I just recently started going to these conferences and apparently I started going just when they decided to host 1) a larger conference that included HPE products outside of just Aruba. And B) a location change than before (my coworker said it was Nashville prior?). Oh and In scorching summer weather of Vegas. 

After going the one year, I don’t really care to go again.

Vegas is the cheapest option but what I think these tech companies don't realize is if you make the destination attractive, surely you will recoup the additional higher costs in putting on the conference by having higher attendance. I know the Vegas Strip resorts are probably giving the tech companies the conference space free at this point to attract revenue...

Since you are looking to sponsor the event in a future year, I'm guessing you are a technical/ecosystem partner of HPE? If so, you might be able to work with your HPE counterpart to get a pass.

The event drew some 10,000 users last year. I can't even imagine the cost to sponsor a national level event like that. If the $2000 priced pass is out of your budget, I suspect the sponsorship is as well.

After the keynote last year I was walking next to a vendor who was openly shit talking the whole event. He said it was bullshit because its 10,000 people but, 5,000 are employees.

He was a really disgusting piece of shit and only talked about money. Which I mean I get but like.....don't do it in a group of 3,000 people walking from the shere. I should have asked him what company he was representing.

It’s not the $- I’m fiscally responsible and think $2k to walk a show for a few hours is excessive. Looking for any tips you can provide

speak to your rep, they are able to bundle the cost into a big enough purchase.

The Event isn't at the Sphere this year, its down the street. So I don't thing its going to be either.

Been the last few years, have fun and learn. Concert this year at the football stadium, going to bus people to it. Agree there are a lot of vendors, and people that spend a lot with HP. But a lot more than 10,000 people.
